We are keepers of the garden here on planet Earth, and keepers of the garden of our selves. We often have little idea of how to do either in a healthy way. Yet there is an underlying knowledge that what we do really matters. Somehow we can find a holistic balance within the web of life that is ourselves and tune in to the web of life that is nature around us.

Birth and Death are hidden, unmentioned. We act as if we are immortal beings. We pretend that this life will go on as it is forever. We fill our lives with diversions and entertainments.
Yet we know that we were once not here. We know that we will someday not be here. We try to push the world into what we think it should be.
The world is as it is and our fantasies and plans soon wash away. We confront old age. We die.
The Yaqui Indian Shaman Don Juan insisted that we should live each moment as if it were our last act on Earth. That pure awareness, with nothing held back, is our link to the web of life.

In the world of science, to sublime is to change state directly from solid into gas. We humans can do the same, can become unbounded creatures to whom the Cosmos is our natural environment.
We are Angels in embryo.
